Together with the Corydoras Hastatus and Pygmeus they and are among the smallest Corydoras species. All three are well known dwarf corys. The females are slightly larger and thicker than the males with a maximum length of about 3.5 centimeters.
Because they are very small they are less suitable for large, crowded tanks as the food is poached for their noses and they will wither away slowly. However, they are ideal for smaller so-called "nano-aquariums".
Best not to keep them on sharp gravel but better on fine sand at a temperature of about 24 ° C. With (too) sharp gravel, they can lose the distinctive mustache. This way, together with a group of small fish (eg. microrasbora type) and possibly shrimps you will have great fun with them. In terms of food, they are not picky as long as it fits their little mouth.
